Since retiring from a twenty-five year career in public education, Becky Porter has completed the training to become a Certified Massage Therapist, and more recently the M. Div. degree at Iliff School of Theology. Combining inclinations to physical healing plus a call to ministry led Becky to Clinical Pastoral Education which she studied for a year to become a Board Certified Clinical Chaplain through the College of Pastoral Supervision & Psychotherapy. During her seminary career, Becky served two internships at WPUCC, and has now been appointed by the BOG as the Chaplain On Call for WPUCC as of August 2007. She is also a part-time On Call Chaplain at Exempla Lutheran Medical Center while she completes her paper for ordination.
 
Becky and her partner Dana have been members of WPUCC since 2001, and were married by Rev. Em in August of 2002. Dana chaired the SOA Committee for two years since and still serves on that committee. Dana has an MSW from D.U., and is a Care Manager at Lutheran Hospital. Dana and Becky live in Arvada with their daughter Ginny who is a senior at Pomona High School, and a section leader and a squad leader in the championship Pomona Marching Band.
