Food, Fellowship & Fun

Food, Fellowship & Fun, what else is there? The relaxed spirit of the WPUCC is brought to life by the F3 Committee through various programs and special events year-round.

F3 also sponsors year-round activity and support groups for many age groups and interests.

In today's urban society where high mobility, rapid social change, violence and corporate power have challenged traditional sources of support, the church has become for many of us the focus of intimate communal life.

Our church does not pretend to take the place of the nuclear family, and we affirm other institutions of society that also provide a genuine sense of caring community. Nevertheless, we consider it an important part of our ministry at the Washington Park United Church of Christ to offer members and friends the same warm fellowship once associated with extended family.

Our Fellowship Committee has provided a variety of groups and annual events that enable each person to find a sense of belonging, an opportunity to relate deeply to others as human beings, and chances to have fun in a meaningful context.
